Madrid conquistou-me pelo estômago, portanto, vou deixar-vos com as preferências das minhas papilas gustativas.

Onde comer em Madrid?

Restaurante Frida | Gastro Bar: Se fores a Madrid durante um fim de semana vai ao Frida na Chueca ao final da manhã e come os Eggs Benedict.

Restaurante Ultramarinos Quintin: O Quintin fica perto do hotel onde fiquei em Salamanca e proporcionou-me uma das melhores noites na cidade. O conceito é engraçado, dentro do restaurante existe uma frutaria e uma charcuteria e devo dizer que nunca tinha visto tanta gente gira por metro quadrado. Além disso, a comida é um sonho!

Kabuki: Este restaurante é maravilhoso e o Guia Michelin partilha da mesma opinião, afinal não é por acaso que este menino já conta com uma estrela no currículo. O ambiente é intimista e o sushi é tão fresco que fico com a sensação que acabou de sair do mar para o meu prato – o que é pouco provável em Madrid! Mas seja qual for o segredo, o chef Ricardo Sanz já tem um lugar no meu coração.

Mercado de São Miguel: Quando fui a Madrid pela primeira vez passei à porta do mercado e não entrei – WHAT?! – mas desta vez não cometi o mesmo erro! O mercado mostra um pouco da alma gastronômica de Madrid, está minuciosamente organizado e deliciosamente pensado. O que mais gostei foi o “arroz negro”, mas como não era muito fotogénico tive de o deixar de fora.

Where to eat when in Madrid?

Restaurante Frida | Gastro Bar: If you go to Madrid for the weekend you should go to Frida and have the Eggs Benedict. They serve brunch until 2pm.

Restaurante Ultramarinos Quintin : Quintin is really close to the hotel I was in at Salamanca and it gave me one of the best nights in Madrid. The concept of this place is really cool, inside the restaurant they have a greengrocer and a charcuterie and I must say I had never seen so many beautiful people per square meter. Also, the food is a dream!

Kabuki : This restaurant is wonderful and the Michelin Guide shares this same opinion, after all it’s not by chance that this place has already a star in its curriculum. The atmosphere is very intimate and the sushi is so fresh that I get the feeling it just came out of the sea straight to my plate. I don’t know what’s their secret, all I know is chef Ricardo Sanz won a place in my heart.

Mercado de São Miguel : When I was in Madrid for the first time I passed by the market and I didn’t get in – WHAT ?! – But this time I didn’t make the same mistake! This market shows a little bit of the gastronomic soul of Madrid and it’s thoroughly organized. My favorite dish was the “black rice”, but as it wasn’t photogenic so I couldn’t post a picture of it.
